Student Rights Aid and Equal Opportunities
Our university is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and equal environment for every student. If you feel you have experienced discrimination or need assistance (for instance, if your personal integrity has been violated), this page provides general information on the options available to you.
Our goal is to create a safe and fair atmosphere where all students have equal opportunities to participate in academic and campus life. To support this, the university offers several services, including guidance on legal procedures, mental health support from our faculty psychologist, and career counseling. These services are designed to ensure you receive the help you need for both your academic and personal growth.
- Student Integrity Violations
A violation of student integrity refers to actions or situations where a student's basic rights, right to fair treatment, or human dignity are compromised. These cases may include:
- Violations of Personal Dignity: Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or verbal abuse that violates a student’s human dignity and rights.
- Violations of Equal Opportunity: Unfair treatment based on protected characteristics—such as gender, age, background, religion, or disability—that prevents a student from receiving the same treatment as others.
- Violations of Academic Fairness: Situations where a student's right to fair treatment is compromised, such as unfair evaluation during an investigation, complaint handling, or exam.
- Restrictions on Freedom of Expression: Cases where a student is silenced or threatened with sanctions for expressing their personal opinions within the university.
Violating student integrity goes against the core values of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. We take all such cases seriously and ensure students receive proper support and legal protection.
- Upholding Equal Opportunity Rights
Every student is entitled to equal treatment, regardless of characteristics such as gender, age, background, religion, disability, gender identity, marital status, or other protected traits. Equal opportunity rights exist to ensure every student has equal access to learning at our institution.
